Statewide “Honor Their Sacrifice” Community Events

Cities and towns will participate in the inaugural “Honor Their Sacrifice” community program. These community events will give student groups, veterans service organizations and patriotic citizens the opportunity to pay it forward in their community through an awareness campaign and service projects.

Light It Up Gold Campaign

Mass Fallen Heroes partners will light up their buildings, schools, and landmarks GOLD to Honor our Fallen during Patriot Week

Schools, Veteran service organizations, small business, and corporate partners are encouraged to create a “Day of Honor” during #PatriotWeek

  • Clean up your local memorial
  • Place wreaths at Hero Squares
  • Plant a flag garden
  • Spread the word about #PatriotWeek
  • Research your local Fallen Heroes and share their stories
  • Encourage co-workers and create your own campaign

Re-Dedication at Ellsworth/McAfee Park

Sunday, May 21, 2017, Northborough, MA

  • Mass Fallen Heroes has partnered with local Gold Star Families, Town Officials, and Blue Water Landscaping to repair, update, and re-dedicate the PFC Neil Ellsworth (KIA 4/13/67, USA, Vietnam) and PFC David McAfee (KIA 8/22/68, USMC, Vietnam) Memorial.
